When ordering replacement parts, watch straps, or accessories, it's essential to know your watch's model number or case number. These numbers identify the exact version of your watch and ensure compatibility with spare parts.
Model Number: The reference number of your complete watch. Usually found on paperwork, the original box, or engraved on the case back (e.g., SKX007, SRP777, SRPD79 or T137.410.11.041.00).
Case Number: Stamped on the back of the watch case (e.g., 7S26-0020, 4R36-04Y0, 4R36-07G0 or T055417A). This helps identify compatible parts like bezels, crystals, and gaskets.
Serial Number: A unique production code engraved on the case back or between the lugs. (example for Seiko: 641234)
🔍 Note: While many people refer to this number, it is not needed to find replacement parts. It only identifies the specific production batch or unit, not the type of parts used.
Flip your watch over and look at the back of the case.
You may see a number like: 7S26-0020, V157-0DL0, or 7T62-0ED0.
This is usually engraved or laser-etched on stainless steel or metal case backs.
Some watches have the case number engraved between the lugs, where the strap connects to the watch. You may need to remove the strap to see it.
Check the original packaging, instruction manual, or warranty card.
The model number is often printed here, typically starting with a few letters (e.g., SKX007, SNK809, AR2452).
For professionals or experienced users: Some case numbers are only visible inside the case back.
This requires opening the watch and should only be done with proper tools.
